Trip to New York.....

We booked this tour as we thought it would be great way to see Manhattan as we only had a limited time in the city and it was one of the best things we did! Our tour guide, Jimmy was fabulous! It really makes a difference when you hear about a city from a local. I think this is a terrific way to see Manhattan and to get your bearings (much better than a bus tour!). I would highly, highly recommend this tour to anyone. (And ask for Jimmy!).

Real New York Tours is the most innovative, friendly and professional tour agency I’ve ever seen. Thanks to their nice and dynamic guide, I was able to know a great many things about New York and its tourist sites. If you try Real New York Tours, you will never feel the need of visiting New York with any other tour company. Long live Real New York Tours!

My group of five people could have been challenging as our ages are from 15 years to the mid 70's. In addition, three of our group had never been to NY while two of us have visited quite regularly.

My challenge was to show the group what NYC all about in the one day that we had together. I was overwhelmed at the thought. Poor planning could cause us to wait in lines eating up precious time. Also, I wanted to cover as much as possible in the little time that we had.

I considered a driving tour with a driver and a guide. That way we would see the most in the least amount of time. Beside it being quite expensive, it was not the interactive experience that our group enjoyed so much. I am so glad that I connected with Real New York Tours.

I chose them based on their online reviews and they did not disappoint. Luke wanted to know all about our group so that he could get us the perfect guide. He was right on. Mindy made it all work flawlessly. She was professional, efficient and incredibly flexible. Most of all she totally related to our needs. She so wanted us to have a special NY experience. We did. She met up with us at our hotel in mid-town. We discussed what we wanted out of the tour and she gave us suggestions and options. It was totally designed around our interests with her valuable input.

We walked thru Times Square and then caught the subway to Battery Park to view the Statute of Liberty. What a thrill it was. We then walked thru the financial district, Chinatown and Little Italy. Mindy explained the history and architecture of each area as we walked thru while giving us lots of interesting stories. She knew just where to stop for treats. For example, we ate the best egg rolls in Chinatown and amazing Cannoli’s in Little Italy.

Our six hour tour actually ran one hour more because we were doing so much. If you are looking for a special NY experience you will find it with Real New York Tours, and, oh yes, be sure to ask for Mindy.
